Hewlett-Packard

Image Editing software

Provides a unique and compelling editing application that provides HP device users the ability to apply a series of image filters, crop images, remove red eye, and integrate image editing seamlessly with iPhoto.

HP Instant Share Assistant

A Cocoa based application to help the user configure their system and All-In-One device to use Hewlett-Packard's Instant Share service.

HP Inkjet Utility

The HP Inkjet Toolbox (formerly "deskjet utility") for Hewlett Packard Company Deskjet series inkjet printers and the HP Photosmart photo printers. The utility performs the following functions: Cleaning, Calibrating, Renaming, Rezoning, printing a Test page, and printing a high quality WOW! sample document, while connected with USB, HP JetDirect, or Rendezvous . The HP Inkjet Toolbox is a carbonized application that runs natively on both Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X and is compatible with most HP inkjet printers ranging from the HP Deskjet models to HP Photosmart photo printers.

iDev developed a suite of software enabling Macintosh users to take advantage of HP's Photosmart printers. iDev developed application software to allow the user to save photos from the printer's memory card slot, and also to easily send pictures via email. As part of the software suite, iDev created a Mac OS 9 disk driver that allows users to access a photo card inserted into their Photosmart printer. The HP Photo Saver application is a carbonized application that runs natively on both Mac OS 9 and X. Photo Saver is used for retrieving and storing photos from a photo card inserted into a supported HP Photosmart photo printer. The HP Photo Mailer is another carbonized application that can be used to easily send photos via email. Finally, iDev integrated printing software from Palomar Software and Hewlett Packard Company to allow printing from Mac OS 9 and X. Using MindVision InstallerVise, iDev wrote multi-language installers for all necessary printing and application software on Mac OS 8.6, Mac OS 9.x, and Mac OS X.

Supported models: hp photosmart 1315, hp photosmart 1218, hp photosmart 1215, hp photosmart 1115, hp photosmart 1100, and the hp photosmart 1000.

Along with Palomar Software, iDev developed a suite of software enabling Macintosh users of photosmart 1000, 1100, 1215, and 1218 model printers full access to the printer's feature set. iDev also developed application software to allow the user to save photos from the printer's memory card slot. Using MindVision InstallerVise software, iDev also wrote multi-language installers and Japanese installers that install all the necessary printing and application software on Mac OS 8.6-9.

FAXstfX

iDev worked with SmithMicro and Palomar Software on the development of FAXstfX. iDev worked with Palomar Software on parts of the printer driver, PDF imaging, and addressing user interface. FAXstfX is a native Mac OS X solution.

Palomar Software

Converted the Palomar Imaging Kernel from MPW to CodeWarrior, and added PowerPlant user interface support. This software is the basis of the Mac OS 8/9 print drivers used by the latest Hewlett Packard inkjet printers as well as several other major printer manufacturers.

FaxSav (now EasyLink Services)

System level coding to automate their Internet fax client software. Specific duties included Mac OS patches to automate switching printer drivers, and enhancing the user interface of their client application.

BrookTrout Technology

Embedded firmware maintenance for communications hardware.
